Signature RED Cares Granted 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Status

Philadelphia, PA (May 2015) — Signature RED Cares is a newly established public charity with tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code. As a nonprofit, Signature RED Cares is eligible to apply for government and foundation grants and receive tax deductible donations. All funding and resources will provide resources to strengthen it’s community service initiatives.

Project ALOE is presently the main program under Signature RED Cares. Established in 2010, Project ALOE operated as a Signature RED give back initiative prior to becoming a Signature RED Cares program. It is a beauty drive and send-off event to help girls be fit, fab, and focused for college. During the summer, toiletries, hair supplies and cosmetics are collected and used to create care packages for college-bound girls. Following the beauty drive, college-bound girls are invited to attend the P.A. Cares Send-Off event where they receive advice from beauty, hair, fitness, and education professionals along with care packages. To date, Project ALOE has distributed hundreds of care packages for young women attending colleges and universities across the United States. In 2014, Project ALOE took place in Philadelphia and Washington D.C. metro areas and we look forward to further expanding our efforts.

Signature RED Cares was founded by Jumoke Dada along with co-founders Anina Major and Jennifer Brown. The Signature RED Cares Tax Identification Number (EID) is 46-5214693 and the IRS letter granting Signature RED Cares its 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status is available upon request.
